Dear CHS Community,
As we continue to enjoy these summer days, I encourage families to keep finding opportunities to spend quality time together. Whether it's getting outdoors, trying new activities, or simply enjoying each other's company, these shared experiences are what make summer special.
We are now just one week away from the official start of OHSAA fall sports seasons. Student-athletes should ensure their physicals are current, focus on getting plenty of rest, and maintain proper hydration as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Next week brings a couple of activities to our campus. We will host our Youth Football Camp, and our elementary summer school program begins a two-week session for students participating by invitation. Looking ahead, August 11 marks an important day with orientations for both 6th grade and new middle school students, as well as 9th grade and new high school students. On August 13, we welcome our new elementary school families for their orientation.
It's also time to prepare for Ohio's Sales Tax Holiday, which runs from August 1-14. Be sure to check the school supply lists on our website as you begin your back-to-school preparations.
These events are clear signs that the 2025-26 school year is approaching. However, there is still plenty of summer break remaining to enjoy these final weeks with friends and family.

Einheit Electric Construction continues to make steady progress on the replacement of fire and security alarm systems in the Middle and High School complex. This full system upgrade follows last summer’s failure and is aimed at ensuring long-term safety and reliability.
A significant amount of new wiring has already been installed, and hardware installation is now underway. Work will continue throughout the summer as scheduled.
The Hillside Stabilization Project by The Ruhlin Company is nearing completion. Over 500 steel piles have been installed, slopes have been restored, and asphalt has been repaved.
